Stretching more than 4,050 square miles of Altiplano, it is the biggest salty apartment in the world, left behind by prehistoric lakes I evaporated long ago. Here, the thick crust of salt extends to the horizon covered with quilted, polygonal samples of the salt raising from the earth.

In certain times of the year, the next overflow of lakes and a thin water layer transforms apartments to fine reflection of the sky. This beautiful and otherworldly landscape serves as the profitable place of extraction for salt and lithium - the element responsible for turning on of laptops, smartphones and electric vehicles. In addition to local workers who receive these minerals, the landscape is the homeland of the first-ever salty hotel and inhabited by the tourists overturning the road. Sharp beauty and abandonment can make Salar De Uyuni soil for an improbable impression or a logistic nightmare. Here the guide on the help:

HOW TO REACH THERE

Located in difficulty of Bolivia, Chile, and Argentina, the logistics and duration of your trip to Salar De Uyuni soil will depend on where you occur from. Tour comes from three main places:

Uyuni, Bolivia: the most popular point of the attack for salty tours of apartments, Uyuni - the small, dusty city filled with services of tourism on Plaza Arce, its main square. Tourists can book tours in advance online through tourist offices in La Paz, or they can just arrive in Uyuni and see options in the city. As to Uyuni it is so close to salty apartments, tourists can easily reserve day trips. Flights from La Paz to Uyuni can be reserved through Amazonas and BoA (one hour, a trip there and back approximately for $130). Night buses from La Paz are available with the Transaction Omar and Todo Turismo (10–12 hours, $30 to $40 every way).

WHEN TO GO

At Salar De Uyuni, there are two excellent seasons. A rainy season (From December to April) - when visitors come to test the effect of a mirror of Seler taking the breath away. Be afraid of an excessive rain in December and January when it can call tourist cancellations. During the dry season (From May to November) temperatures colder, the earth became stronger, and tourists can go through absolutely white landscape to places which aren’t available during a rainy season. Tour operators consider from June to August the high period, and the prices can rise respectively.

TOUR CHOICE

While salty apartments - one of the most popular sights of Bolivia is only a small part of the magnificent region of Altiplano. Many visitors play about three excursions for the whole day (or longer) which includes deserts, volcanoes, geysers, hot springs and high-rise lakes on the South. Tour from San Pedro de Atacama and Tupiza as already plan will drive these places.

Tourists can choose between the general tour (cheaper and standardized) or private tour (with higher price and cut out by custom). The general tours usually provide to Spanish-speaking guides who serve as the driver and the chef. They follow a firm route which will hardly place separate inquiries and can interfere with a certain time of day as sunrise or a decline. Private tours, unlike it, can be adjusted to sympathy of the client, having given to tourists more control over a route and ability to go in a solitude to volcanoes or caves. Private tours also provide to the English-speaking guide, the chef and more convenient vehicle.

Check Internet reviews and guides carefully to choose dear guide. Avoid the companies which offer very low prices - they cannot provide to the accredited guide or the working car which can endanger tourists. Also ask the agency whether they transport extraordinary radio and a package of first aid.

One of the highlights Salar De Uyuni - the infinite horizon which allows photographers to play with prospects and depth of sharpness. Places of battle of a stage with toy dinosaurs prepare the friends in pots and pans or crawling from by sight huge cans of peanut butter. The key to excellent photos has to receive the camera low to the earth and is close to your support. It gives prospect that a support larger than test people who stand further. Don’t allow the objects to risk too far though - it is more than a distance between a support and objects, the heavier it will have to keep everything in the center. If your camera resolves, make an aperture of the narrowest.
